Back in the 70s the Coca-Cola company operated three G-2 aircraft. They had the registrations of 678RW 679RW 680RW the RW was a reference to Robert Woodruff, the longtime CEO and really the individual who built Coke into the global icon it came to be.
One of the Coca-Cola GII's was S/N 004, it later went to Saudi Arabia for a while. At some point in time it became a GIIB. It was then purchased by Robert E. Peterson (of publishing fame, Hot-Rod magazine)and was based in VNY, CA while on Pertersen Aviation's charter certificate. It's Registration # was N8490P, (the 8490 the address of Mr. Petersen's publishing office in LA. It was sold sometime around the mid 90's and as far as I know it is still in the states. I was the DOM for Petersen Aviation during this time, we also had S/N 005, a straight GII. Both were great aircraft built by "Grumman Iron Works"
